Cooling needs in California vary more by a few miles than by season.

Equipment that suits one is wrong for the other, which is why a load calculation matters more here than a rule of thumb about house size.

What we do

• Repair. Diagnosis before quoting. We find failed capacitors, refrigerant leaks, blower motor faults and thermostats wired badly during a previous job.
• Heat pumps. Increasingly the sensible choice in much of the state, handling both heating and cooling efficiently in mild winters. They are also where current energy standards and incentives are pointed, and worth understanding before you replace like for like.
• Replacement and installation. Sized properly, with attention to whether the house actually needs the capacity it currently has. Many systems here were oversized for a climate that rarely demands it.
• Air quality and filtration. Wildfire smoke has made filtration a genuine concern rather than an upsell, and not every system can accept a higher-rated filter without airflow problems.
